Anel has been in the fitness and rehabilitation industry for over 20 years.

Running studios in Pretoria and Cape Town, South Africa, Geneva, Switzerland, Auckland and currently Nelson, New Zealand.

Her passion lies in rehabilitation and transformation. With a variety of skills acquired from her days as a competitive track and field athlete, a background in Psychology, Pilates, BodyTalk, Myofascial release, Original Strength and Movnat. She has the unique ability to not only treat an injury but reverse and undo years of compensation and malalignment.

To Anel an injury is not something to fret about but rather an opportunity to highlight specific areas of the body to mobilise or strengthen in order to ignite the nervous system and reclaim our right to be strong and capable.

What makes us different?

ORIGINAL STRENGTH

The Original Strength System will re-establish a foundation of movement that will make any physical goal easier, more attainable and help improve mental acuity.

  • We learn, develop and strengthen diaphragmatic breathing.

  • Develop and reset the nervous system through head control.

  • Tie the body together as an X through rolling and crawling.

  • Strengthen and re-align the body’s frame aka posture, with hand and knee rocking.

MOVNAT

As a human we have movements that are universal to every person on this planet. Movements we use to survive, advance and play.

Such as:

  • Crawling

  • Walking

  • Running

  • Jumping

  • Lifting

  • Carrying

  • Throwing

  • Climbing

These are movements we recognise in our daily life, doing shopping, working in the garden, walking to work, cleaning our house. As we get older we don’t always display these skills with the same prowess or grace as we did when we were younger and for some of us something like jumping or standing up from the floor might seem like a lost art.

Our aim is to help you rediscover your innate strength, power and agility by slowly reverting you back to the human you used to be.

Do we stop moving because we grow old,

or do we grow old because we stop moving?
